Chess N-Back
A 3×3 n-back trainer using chess pieces and coordinates. At each step a random
piece appears on one square and a coordinate is played (like b2).
Your job is to spot matches with the item n steps ago: piece color,
piece type, board position, and played coordinate.
Board & stream
Select an n-back level and round length, then start. A new stimulus appears
every few seconds. Press a match button only when the current item matches
the one n steps back in that specific category.

The grid uses a1–c3 coordinates (like a miniature chessboard).
N-back level controls how many steps back you compare: in 2-back, for
instance, you’re matching the item from two moves ago.
Levels 5–6-back are mostly meme territory / grandmaster flex mode — try them if you dare, but don’t blame us if your brain resigns.
